Overview

The Epic Direct Mail has precision material control and a reduced spoilage rate due to real-time paper path corrections, lowering material costs and labor expenses associated with the make-good process on out-sorted mail. It comes read and print-ready. Plus it offers the largest range of feeding technology to handle the most challenging applications and meet stringent SLAs.

Featuring real-time, integrated end-to-end tracking, Epic Direct Mail enables you to accurately and easily account for all pieces in every job. You can also quickly identify and resolve problems using the onboard diagnostic tools to reduce downtime and get your mail production up and running again. This system is designed for self-serviceability and is supported by the level of BlueCrest service that works best for your business needs.

Plus Speed Option

The Plus Speed is easy to activate on installed systems and enables you to process jobs up to 14% faster, allowing you to increase throughput on low page count work.

Auto Gapping Option

Eliminate the need to separate high-page count work.

The auto-gapping folder eliminates the need to separate low page count work from high page count, and auto adjusts for each collation, resulting in greater uptime. The auto-gapping folder also produces better-finished fold quality of inserted materials. The gapping folder can be configured with new systems or retrofitted to your system at your location.

Booklet Feeder

Support the widest variety of different insert types on one feeder.

Process a wider range of inserts from a single panel to booklets up to 3.8" thick with our universal friction feeder, which offers 5x the material capacity than other feeders, creating greater work cell efficiency. The unique dual-scanning capability allows you to scan barcodes located on either side of the paper. *The booklet feeder can be retrofitted to most Epic inserting systems.

Heavies Divert Bin

Improve the seal and envelope quality of thicker mail pieces.

Designed to maintain the integrity of the seal on thick and flat envelopes, our enhanced design lifts the deck out of the way, allowing the mail piece to drop directly into the bin, therefore reducing jams and system stoppages, and increasing production time.

Input Line Scanning

Eliminate hardware changes and increase code scanning capability.

Save time and change between jobs faster with our latest input scanning capability that scans multiple barcodes on the same form, without having to re-position or adjust the camera before each job.

Cross Folder

For inserting applications that require pre-folding.

Ideal for applications such as passports, surveys, medical forms, and more, the Cross Folder can be added to any continuous form inserter and pre-folds the roll prior to it reaching the inserter, where traditional folding and cutting takes place. This one-of-a-kind design easily integrates with the inserter and adds more flexibility to take on additional work where this functionality is needed. When pre-folding is not required, the Cross Folder can be used in pass-through mode. The universal left/right design makes it easy for input integration. See video #4 below for a demonstration.
